This piece is made of a burl of horse chestnut. This over a hundred years old Chestnut developed a very rare figuring, which shows in the finished piece: the swirl and the flames giving the piece a vibrant appearance. The grey lines are spalting in the wood. It’s fascinating how nature leaves marks. It gives the urn a very natural look. A truly unique piece for your loved one. A truly unique piece for your loved one. And for some technical details: After sanding up to 800 grid the vessel is finished with satin gloss lacquer. You can clean it with a damp or dry cloth. Please keep it out of direct sunlight, don’t place it near a heating source. Dimensions: diameter 9 2/3 ”, 24,5 cm height 11 2/3 ”, 29,5 cm capacity 360 c.i, 6 liter This urn can hold the ashes of an adult or 2 (small) persons.
