The design, the mosaics are handmade and varnished. The chess pieces are made of polyester and hand painted. Each chess piece has a felt to avoid the scratching. Handmade Checkers are made of Boxwood (Buxus Sempervirens). Slow growth of Boxwood renders the wood very hard, heavy, and with fine grain produced by growth rings, making it ideal for chess pieces and checkers.
