Rally Raid UK Desert Warrior 1, originally built in 2007 Key specs: -8 Reiger coil overs, professionally rebuilt at the start of the season with a raft of new parts, and new springs -ATL 170L fuel cell, brand new at the start of the year -Twin Bosch 044 fuel pumps -Sparco seats and harnesses - FIA spec, also brand new at the start of this year -BMW M57 engine, new injectors, high pressure FP and turbo at the start of this year. Approx 350bhp/700nm (no FIA restrictor fitted) -Hydraulics system fully operational (see pictures) -BMW 6 speed manual gearbox with HD clutch and solid flywheel -Stilo intercom -Ashcroft 300M shafts and CVs -Ashcroft lockers, pegged -Bremax wiring harness The car no longer has its FIA gold book and as such would need a few mods to bring it up to current regs (all attainable). It is however suitable for Dakar Classic. This is a very competitive car and is still highly regarded in the rally raid scene. More photos are available upon request. Presentamos un modelo de ornamento de capó que ya es una leyenda entre el publico que acostumbra a atesorarlos: El Jet Birreactor GLOSTER METEOR. Realizado en bronce macizo, es una excelente pieza para exhibir en una vitrina o estantería, o colocarlo en un auto clásico. El Gloster Meteor fue el primer caza de reacción británico y el primero en entrar en servicio con los Aliados de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El diseño del modelo Meteor dependió, en gran medida, de sus innovadores motores a turborreacción, desarrollados por Frank Whittle y su compañía, Power Jets Ltd. El desarrollo del avión comenzó en 1940, pero ya se había comenzado a trabajar en los motores desde comienzos de 1936. El Gloster Meteor realizó su primer vuelo en 1943 y comenzó a operar el 27 de julio de 1944 con el 616º Escuadrón de la Royal Air Force (RAF). Desde entonces, batió varios records de velocidad. Fue tan exitoso que muchas fuerzas aereas de todo el mundo lo adoptaron, por lo que se lo vió volar en diversas partes del mundo.  Yo mismo me acuerdo que, de pequeño lo veia surcar el cielo de Buenos Aires, dado que tenian su base en Morón, cerca de mi casa. Su andar poderoso pero veloz me regocijaba y me marcó para toda la vida, al punto que desee ser piloto de avion (sólo lo pude ser de ultralivianos). Esta en muy buenas condiciones, considerando su antiguedad, tal como se puede ver en las fotos. Mide 17 cm de cola a punta, 14 cm entre extremos de alas y 3.5 cm de alto, solo el avion. Se entraga con una excelente base de madera de cedro que realza su alidad y facilita su exhibicion. Denttro de mi coleccion, siempre estuvo en mi escritorio, acompañandome a diario.
