The tiny realistic stars are too small for colour to be seen at night, the stars will look as if they glow off-white regardless of original paint colour. This is a feature of all glow in the dark paints. Colour is only present when the paint is 100% charged. This afterglow is off-white. A note for those wanting white or only blue stars so they are less visible on white surfaces ~ What you are seeing in the daytime are the glow particles at absolute maximum charge ~ There is no coloured pigment added to the stickers. The whiter daytime colours are much dimmer and more difficult to charge, I would not use them separately. All colours are optimal for a complete night sky. The aqua can be used separately, it is bright yet not as brightly yellow as the brightest green stars. Ask me for a custom pack if you prefer! ???? EASILY CHARGED WELL LIT SPACE = BRIGHT GLOW Solar charged. UV Lights are not needed. Use a bright light before bedtime or use natural sunlight during the day. Most rooms have perfect lighting conditions, the stars will charge themselves. In very dim rooms/basements/home theatres they may need a boost with some direct lighting. Recessed or down lights can sometimes be problematic if they angle away from the ceiling making it too dark. A floor lamp angled at the ceiling is an easy solution. Direct light is best. Fluorescent lights, CFLs, bright LEDs are recommended. UV tubes and black lights can be used but avoid using in children's bedrooms as UV light can damage eyesight. Incandescent bulbs do not charge well and are not recommended. These stickers charge, glow and display best on white backgrounds. They also glow effectively on all colour backgrounds including black ceilings in home theatres. ???? LOW TACK Low tack for damage-free removal. They are reusable and can be repositioned easily several times on most surfaces. Flat surfaces and textures are recommended, the stickers will not adhere to heavily textured bumpy surfaces. Do not apply to non-stick stain blocker painted walls/ceilings unless you're prepared to use extra adhesive. ???? SAFETY Small parts - not suitable for children under 3 years. Decals and stickers are non-toxic and acrylic based but these are not toys. Do not allow small children to play with the stickers and make sure they are securely installed out of reach. ???? BE CREATIVE! These are so much fun! Older kids can help stick up their own star ceiling....and they are favourite for adults too. + You can dot out your favorite constellations with the larger brighter stars and then fill in the spaces with the smallest ones. EASY STAR CONSTELLATION DIY IDEA - Print out a version of the constellation you'd like to have on the ceiling, Make small holes over the stars and use a torch to project your constellation onto the ceiling. Use the largest and brightest green ones for the constellation. + Be unique! You can dream up your own fantastic skies filled with imaginary constellations. + You can give them to a teenager, let them go crazy and decorate every inch of the ceiling, walls and floor! + You can spread them out for a peaceful night sky or stick them close for a celestial explosion.
