Giant Scrunchies/Stretch Bands These are a fantastic aid to bring children together who have had very little experience of music and dance activity groups due to covid-19 rules. They are really popular in nurseries, schools, activity groups and also nursing homes where they can be used by children and adults for music, movement and circle time activities. Best of all they encourage whole group involvement! PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY ARE NOT TOYS AND THAT ALL GIANT SCRUNCHIE ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT. For those who haven’t seen them in action, they are basically colourful pieces of fabric, sewn together, with strong elastic inside, to make a giant scrunchie. The patterned fabrics are specifically chosen to fit in with familiar rhymes/songs. The children or adults sit or stand in a circle, holding onto the scrunchie whilst singing activity songs or talking about colours/what they can see on the patterned fabrics.
