This pretty and practical waist length shawl featuring 7 leaves and has been hand knit by me using a commercially produced 100% wool yarn in ivory and comes with a double ended toggle button fastening. This is a ready to ship item and you will receive the item shown in the photographs. Shawls are very versatile and can be worn in lots of different ways, although this particular design is crescent shaped and so will wrap around your shoulders and you can fasten it together at whatever position is comfortable for you or you might try having it come over your arms and then underneath them fastening the tips around your mid-back so that it kind of forms sleeves. This would be an amazing unique handmade accessory for everyday wear or to buy as a special gift for that special lady. All of my shawls are presented gently folded in a tissue lined gift box and come with individually created care cards. How to clean hand knit or crocheted shawls: Clean by gently placing in hand warm and a specialist delicate soap such as SOAK or Eucalan and allow to soak for 30 minutes, no vigorous rubbing is needed. Gently squeeze out the excess water (do not wring), place on a clean towel and roll it up then press down gently on the towel to soak up as much as possible. Lay out flat on a clean surface to dry, using pins and/or blocking wires to gently stretch the shawl out to shape and maintain its beauty if required. Want to buy as a gift? All my shawls are sent out in a brand new sturdy white ribbon tie gift box with tissue paper surrounding the shawl for protection and a couple of other special little packaging details that you only get when buying handmade. The cat - actually I think it is a very young one, so she is a bit clumsy and unexperienced- tries to climb a tree. Or, to me more precise, some branches. Although it looks differently (intended!), the cat is not loose, but completely fixed on the branch - nothing is "pending around". So the ring has a very comfortable fit.
