Mint - (M) Absolutamente perfecto en todos los sentidos. Seguramente sin haberse usado y posiblemente aún precintado. Esta clasificación debe usarse con responsabilidad, en todo caso   Near mint- (NM or M-)   Una buena descripción de un registro NM es ¨que parece que acaba de llegar de una tienda y que se abrió por primera vez¨ Un vinilo casi perfecto. Muchos vendedores nunca utilizan un grado de clasificación más alto, lo que implica (tal vez con razón) de que  no exista un vinilo o funda perfecto. Los vinilos NM son brillantes, sin defectos visibles. No tienen escrituras, pegatinas u otras marcas en la etiqueta, no deben tener más de los defectos más leves, como el desgaste del anillo casi invisible u otros signos de una ligera manipulación. En audición lo hará sin ruido de superficie (los vinilos NM no tienen que ser "nunca escuchados", un vinilo utilizado en una excelente plato puede permanecer NM después de muchas audiciones si se cuida bien)  Una funda no debe tener arrugas, pliegues, u otros defectos similares perceptibles. Y, por supuesto, lo mismo debería para otros insertos, como carteles, fundas líricas y similares.   Very good plus (VG+)   A excepción de un par de detalles menores un VG+ podría ser un NM. La mayoría de los coleccionistas que escuchan sus vinilos estarían contentos con un VG+, especialmente si es hacia el extremo alto de la nota (a veces llamada VG + + o + E). Las etiquetas pueden tener marcas de escritura o pegatinas. Las fundas tiene signos evidentes de uso, es apreciable la marca circular del vinilo por roce, o cantos muy desgastados o un poco rotos.   Good (G)   Bueno no significa malo! Un registro de buena condición se puede poner sobre un plato y reproducirse sin que salte en ningún punto a lo largo de la audición.  La funda tendrá roturas, especialmente en la parte inferior o en la columna vertebral. Cinta, escritura, desgaste del anillo u otros defectos comienzan a desbordar el objeto.    Poor-(P), Fair-(F)   El disco está rajado, muy deformado y en la audición presenta saltos. I've got the next dance b. when love comes calling   One of the most distinctive vocalists who arrived during the soul era,  Deniece Williams  is known for soaring, four-octave soprano voice, late-'70s and early-'80s R&B classics such as "Free" and "Silly," and the 1984 number one pop hit "Let's Hear It for the Boy." Born  June Deniece Chandler  in Gary, Indiana, she grew up singing in a Pentecostal church, which forbid the congregation to listen to anything but gospel music. Outside of wanting a 1959 Thunderbird, she had no serious ambitions but was deeply interested in music. Her favorite singers were  Carmen McRae  (for her diction) and  Nancy Wilson, who, for  Williams, exemplified class and elegance. However, her she also looked up to her parents, both of whom sang. From 1968 through 1970,  Williams  recorded a handful of singles for the Chicago-based Lock and Toddlin' Town labels as  Deniece  (or Denise)  Chandler. None of them charted, but "I'm Walking Away" and "Mama, I Wish I Stayed Home" became Northern soul cult classics.  In need of employment and with college on the back burner, the fledgling singer was introduced to personal hero  Stevie Wonder  by John Harris, her cousin from Detroit, who happened to be on tour as a valet for  Wonder  (and was also his childhood friend). Her cousin arranged for  Williams  to meet  Wonder  backstage at a concert. Six months later,  Williams  was flown into Detroit by  Wonder  for an audition. Among the 26 who auditioned,  Williams, who sang "Teach Me Tonight," was one of three hired by  Wonder. The three became known as  Wonderlove. Her touring with  Wonder lasted for several years, a period in which she recorded background vocals for  Talking Book,  Fulfillingness' First Finale, and  Songs in the Key of Life,  Wonder -produced  Syreeta  and  Minnie Riperton  sessions, and other releases by the likes of  Esther Phillips  and  Roberta Flack.

His powers of expression as a vocalist and keyboardist are undiminished on the second album of his return to the Atlantic fold; he could still squeeze some soul out of anything. But his ability to choose great, good, or even merely appropriate material had deserted him -- and so we hear nowhere ballads ("She Knows"), stale song ideas ("You 20th Century Fox"), empty, poorly arranged and paced rousers ("We Had It All"), and political statements that fall flat ("A Peace That We Never Before Could Enjoy," "Give the Poor Man a Break") -- nothing that even this prodigious talent can save, and all treated to a veiled, raucous mix. Other than the team of arrangers (Harry Goodnight, Roger Newman, Larry Mahoberack), there are no musician credits nor any notes. Ultimately the blame for this uninteresting record must go to the producer, the co-engineer, the lead keyboardist, and the singer -- who are all one and the same person.
