This version uses two Command Strips (which I include) so is strong enough to hold a single or double with records included. I also have a version that's screw-mounted and is a bit smaller, and another sticky tab-mounted one that's smaller and only takes one sticky tab, so have a look in my shop if this one isn't quite right for you. The shelves are deep enough to hold a standard double, but probably won't hold a brand new one that doesn't fold flat. They need to have been sat on a shelf with other records for a while so they stay flat. You can use one top and one bottom to hold larger doubles, though I have some brackets in my shop that hold top and bottom so you'd be as well to take a look at them. ------- FITTING INSTRUCTIONS To fit your shelf, place the Command Strips vertically (upright, as opposed to sideways) on the back of the shelf, ensuring they're attached to the flat surface and don't overhang. Position them so the tabs that you pull to remove them are visible at the top, so that they'll be hidden behind the record sleeve. Remove the backing strips and press firmly onto your smooth, painted wall, pressing with both hands on the back surface of the shelf only for about 10 seconds. Leave it a couple of hours before putting anything on it and check that it is stuck firmly and flat, and hasn't come away at the edges or corners. Please note: I'm including the removable strips free of charge, but I can't take responsibility for how you put them up. I've tested them, and I've had lots of happy customers, but if you don't put them up properly or the surface you're sticking them to isn't appropriate, they will fall down risking damage to your records. They need to be stuck to a well-painted, smooth (non-textured, painted, not wall-papered), clean wall. (Clean with isopropyl alcohol if you need to clean first.) Once fitted, please make sure your record sleeve is centred on the shelf so it doesn't slide off the side. The shelves are small so as to be unobtrusive, which means the record can't be on all wonky. If you need to remove them, please read the instructions in the FAQs in my shop, but basically you just hold the shelf and pull the removal tab. In this age of the sound bite, what sort of author could be more relevant than a master of the epigram? Martial, the most influential epigrammatist of classical antiquity, was just such a virtuoso of the form, but despite his pertinence to today's culture, his work has been largely neglected in contemporary scholarship. Arguing that Martial is a major author who deserves more sustained attention, William Fitzgerald provides an insightful tour of his works, shedding new and much-needed light on the Roman poet's world-and how it might speak to our own. Writing in the late first century CE-when the epigram was firmly embedded in the social life of the Roman elite-Martial published his poems in a series of books that were widely read and enjoyed. Exploring what it means to read such a collection of epigrams, Fitzgerald examines the paradoxical relationship between the self-enclosed epigram and the book of poems that is more than the sum of its parts. Listing for 20 seeds. How to grow: Before growing the roses from seed, the seeds have to undergo a period of stratification. This is a cold moist storage that gets the seeds ready for germination. Cold Treatment Chilling your seeds in a refrigerator for about six to ten weeks encourages them to germinate faster once planted. However, you must take care to avoid keeping them cold for long as they can germinate while still in the refrigerator. Place your seeds on a paper towel before moistening them. Use half purified water and half peroxide to prevent the growth of mould. You can then place them in a plastic zippered bag, mark the date and variety before placing in a refrigerator set at 1 to 3 degrees C. The paper towel should remain moist for the entire period. You can check occasionally to see if it needs remoistening. Make sure you don’t freeze the towel. There are other ways to stratify the seeds like planting them in a tray of potting mix and refrigerating the entire tray for weeks. The tray is usually enclosed in a plastic bag to keep it moist. Planting your seeds When you think your seeds are ready for planting (6-10 weeks), remove the bag from the refrigerator if that was your stratification method. You will need shallow trays or small pots to plant your seeds. Whatever works between the trays and pots is fine as long they have good drainage. The ideal size of the trays or pots should be 3-4 inches deep. You can use separate trays when planting seeds from different varieties of rose hips. You must follow your labeling all the way down from harvesting, treatment, and planting. The rose bush name and planting date are some of the details to indicate on your trays or pots. Next fill your trays or pots with the potting soil. You can opt to use 50% sterile potting soil and 50% vermiculite, or half peat and half perlite. When the potting mix is ready in the trays or pots, this is the time to take off your seeds from the towel. Remember the seeds must not be removed from the plastic bag until they are ready to be planted. You lightly dust them before planting. Place your seeds about ¼ inch into the soil and dust the surface again to prevent the damp off disease that kills seeds. Water them properly and place them outside in direct sunlight. If there is frost, it is advised you place your seeds under a tree or in a sheltered part of the patio to protect them. There is no need for grow lights. Keep the soil pots or trays watered but not soggy. Do not let them dry up as this might affect the germination of your seeds. Watch for germination After about six weeks, the first two seed leaves will start to emerge before the true leaves can emerge. The seedling must have three to four true leaves before they can be ready for transplanting. Planting your seedlings When the seedlings are grown a few inches tall with at least three true leaves, they are ready to be transplanted. You can transplant them into a four-inch pot of your liking. You don’t have to plant all your seedlings but only the healthy ones. You can choose to monitor them on the tray and only transplant them when they have outgrown it. You must monitor the seedlings as they grow in their new pots for colour, form, bush size, branching, and disease resistance. Roses with weak, unhealthy or unattractive flowers can be discarded. It will take your new seedlings at least three years before they reach maturity and develop into a big bush. I don’t have set hours anymore as my energy gets low after a couple of hours and I have to take breaks throughout the day to be able to channel accurately. So, if it’s past 5 PM and you still haven’t gotten your reading, I am probably still working on it! I will always let you know if there is for some reason a delay in delivery. Which thankfully doesn’t happen too often! Only whenever I get an overwhelming amount of orders ☺️ All orders will be delivered on the NEXT business day. So if you order at any time Friday-Sunday, then you will have your reading by end of day Monday. If you order on a Tuesday, you will have it on Wednesday. I do have SAME DAY/ PRIORITY option as well for an extra fee and here are the rules: * Must be ordered Tuesday - Friday. I do NOT do same day delivery on Mondays (and I don't work on the weekends). * Must be ordered before 3PM EST. So if you place your order anytime between right after midnight through 3 PM EST, Tuesday - Friday then I will prioritize your reading OR deliver same day. I have been very very busy the past few weeks and no longer have time to deliver all Same Day readings within the same day due to volume. IF you do not receive your Same Day reading within the same day, it will be prioritized the next business day as I always start with the Same Day readings first. If you have placed same day order outside of the time frame, then your order will just be prioritized and worked first in line with other "Same Day" orders, the next business day.
