El candidato seleccionado se unirá al equipo de operaciones de ING. El ING opera el Telescopio William Herschel de 4,2 m (WHT) y el Telescopio Isaac Newton de 2,5 m (INT) en nombre de UK Research and Innovation – Science and Technology Facilities Council (Reino Unido), la Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (Holanda) y el Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (España). Las instalaciones, que están equipadas con instrumentos espectroscópicos y de imágenes de nivel mundial, están ubicadas en el Observatorio del Roque de Los Muchachos (ORM), situado a una altitud de 2400 m en la isla española de La Palma. Actualmente se están llevando a cabo desarrollos emocionantes para ambos telescopios del ING: el espectrógrafo multifibra WEAVE se implementará en el WHT en 2022-23, mientras que el espectrógrafo de alta resolución estabilizado HARPS-3 para el INT se implementará en 2023 después de la robotización del INT en 2022-23. Reportando al Jefe de Operaciones y al Jefe de Telescopios e Instrumentación, y contribuyendo a las operaciones así como a los proyectos donde la electrónica tenga relevancia, el puesto es ideal para un ingeniero técnico o FP de electrónica que busque oportunidades para crecer en un entorno operativo desafiante. PROPÓSITO, RESPONSABILIDADES Y DEBERES Principal propósito del puesto • Dar soporte a todos los sistemas electrónicos y de control de los telescopios y a la infraestructura del ING en el ORM (Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos). • Contribuir a las operaciones y proyectos activos, especialmente en lo que se refiere a la electrónica. Deberes y responsabilidades asociadas Los principales deberes y responsabilidades asociados a este puesto incluyen, pero no están limitados a: • Apoyo al equipo de operaciones; colaborar en los cambios de instrumentos y los correspondientes ensayos según demanda. • Asumir la responsabilidad de atender y solucionar fallas relacionadas con la electrónica. Asegurarse de que la base de datos de fallos se actualiza en consecuencia a tiempo. • Participar en los trabajos de mantenimiento en general según sea necesario, cubriendo telescopios, instrumentos y equipos de apoyo. Ser capaz de analizar, medir y caracterizar el rendimiento de placas o equipos electrónicos. Llevar a cabo reparaciones electrónicas especializadas, o diseñar y construir prototipos electrónicos cuando sea necesario. • Seguir siempre las normas de seguridad, generales o específicas de ING. Colaborar con la seguridad del equipo de operaciones según sea necesario, para respaldar las operaciones diarias u otras tareas periódicas. Actuar como recurso preventivo bajo demanda. • Participar en proyectos de ING bajo demanda; incluyendo tareas de preparación de infraestructura para WEAVE. • Actividades de gestión de instrumentos. Proporcionar soporte completo para instrumentos específicos. • Identificar y almacenar el nivel correcto de repuestos para todas las áreas de responsabilidad. Gestionar y promover la compra de repuestos electrónicos según sea necesario. • Revisar, modificar y/o generar documentación técnica de los sistemas electrónicos en uso en ING. Adquirir experiencia con todos los subsistemas electrónicos de los telescopios. Concentrarse para maximizar la fiabilidad de todos los sistemas electrónicos y de control en uso. • Informar al Jefe de Operaciones/T&I sobre cualquier instrumento o problema del sistema, o proponer mejoras. • Colaborar con otros miembros de ING, así como ingenieros de otras instituciones para cumplir con las necesidades de ING o del proyecto. • Brindar soporte a la ingeniería eléctrica, bajo demanda. • Utilizar herramientas ofimáticas especialmente para documentación, comunicaciones, etc. • Uso del inglés y el español como idiomas de trabajo. • Capacidad de aprender y comprender los sistemas electrónicos avanzados en uso. Llevar un plan de desarrollo personal continuo para cubrir las necesidades futuras de ING ingeniería electrónica. CRITERIOS DE SELECCIÓN Experiencia • Mínimo: o No se requiere experiencia mínima. • Deseable: Dos años o más trabajando como Ingeniero/Técnico de Electrónica/Control en un entorno de observatorio astronómico o similar. Cualificaciones • Mínimo: Cualificación profesional como técnico en electrónica o campo relacionado (FPII). • Deseable: Cualificación cómo ingeniero en electrónica o de control. Idiomas • Mínimo: español fluido y capaz de comunicarse en inglés. • Deseable: inglés fluido. Otros requisitos El candidato deberá también: • Ser apto para trabajar a 2400m de altitud. • Estar disponible para viajar o trabajar fuera de su lugar habitual de trabajo. Conocimientos, habilidades y cualidades personales valorados. El trabajo consistirá en la aplicación de ciertas prácticas y procedimientos establecidos o de normas y reglas concretas. Sin embargo, requerirá criterio e interpretación propios o conocimiento de los principios básicos, así como una buena comprensión de las prácticas de un área técnica o especialidad determinadas. La supervisión estará disponible a través del Jefe de T&I y/o Jefe de Operaciones. Para este puesto se esperan las siguientes competencias transversales: • Flexibilidad y adaptabilidad. INFORMACIÓN CONTRACTUAL Después de un período de prueba de tres meses, este será un puesto permanente a tiempo completo. El nombramiento será en el grado B o grado C. En el caso de un grado B el salario bruto inicial de 28.375,17 € anuales, sujeto a deducciones por el IRPF y la Seguridad Social. Después del primer año, el salario aumentará a 29.868,65 € anuales. En el caso de un grado C, los salarios brutos ascenderían a 32.631,76 € anuales, durante el primer año; y 34.349,11 € a partir del segundo año. La cobertura médica estará a disposición de la persona designada, pareja e hijos acompañantes a cargo del Servicio Nacional de Salud español. ING ayudará a los que vienen del exterior a darse de alta en la Seguridad Social y los Servicios de Salud. Un paquete de reubicación y apoyo financiero para lecciones de español/inglés están disponibles.
