I am putting a 2004 Mazda RX8 on the market. Engine from Honda Type - R, legendary K20 + compressor from Audi S4 - engine freshly replaced and overhauled (1 x driven on Silesia track, otherwise civilian mileage) Power: 1 map: 350 hp on PB98, 2nd map (ethanol top-up): 380 hp on E25 Weight: 1300kg without aero, 1320 with aero For about £8k you can fit a cage and cut about 100kg (one door front door 31kg, rear door 16kg). With such parameters of 1250kg/350hp you will be hard pressed to find a faster-running E46 M3. Performance: 0-100 4.6s on a welded tyre, 100-200 ~10s, Vmax around 270. Transmission 6ka from RX8. VMax 2ka 105, 3ka 147, 4ka 200. Times on the track: 1) Poznań 1:44.14s (semi slick) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONjC-3bUrls 2) Autodrom Pomerania 42.06s (semi slick) 3) Łódź on old Extremo 225 58.7s (semi slick) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEMW_7tloMs Inspection dated April 2024, third party insurance also until April 2024. Of the more interesting modifications: 1) Deepened oil pan (no oil problems on the track even at MIN oil level on the dipstick) Ridden on Motul 8100. 2) Mazdaspeed thread with F9kg R7kg springs with adjustable damping and height (preload). The thread allows the car to be raised 15cm above the ground, so it can be driven safely to the track. After damping, ground clearance front clearance of approx. 6 cm. In 2020 there was a failure of the rear shock absorber piston rod - replaced with a new one at Nagengast Gdansk. 3) Custom stabiliser rear 18mm with 3 degrees of adjustment, front stabiliser - 2 degrees of adjustment 4) Suspension - front on polyurethane, made camber adjustment in upper control arms. Lower control arms new ASO after service action in 2018/2019. Angles to be squared at front around -4 degrees, rear -3. 5) Brake front: 4 piston Clio3RS with DS2500, Rear: custom DS performance pads (not shop buyable), Helium braided lines. Windings for front discs with catchers near the halogens. 6) Exhaust manifold 4-2-1 SSG, on standard RX8 final muffler, 2 VBands welded on the way. 7) Torsen on standard RX8 diff housing. 8) Custom intake manifold with water block and TVS1320 compressor with electronically controlled supercharging after TPS. Electric intercooler water pump. 9) Built up floor with diffuser and large splitter - aero removable in 20 minutes to go on wheels. The whole floor is another 20 minutes on the jack and dismantled. All on M6 screws on allen. 10) EMU with water features, like correcting the fuel dose by the temperature of the fuel rail fuel rail temperature (useful on warm days after a stop), measurement of water temp before the compressor, protection after oil pressure, temperature in the intake. 2 programs (uploaded) for PB and E25. 11) 8 18" OEM mazda rims, 8 tyres: 6 x Extreme 2 R5, 2 HL (new) 12) Mirco driver's bucket, 4pct 3" OMP belts with road homologation. 13) Removed unnecessary stuff from inside. Interior cleaned and painted. 14) A few custom touches, like different tie rod ends (no bump steer). 15) Race TCS sport traction control! The serial very good ABS - I have found this out many times. I have yet to meet a car that brakes later than this RX8. Plus efficient and working serial ESP, as if an inexperienced person wanted to drive this car somewhere. 16) Engine cushions hardened - poured with 85sha casting resin. Additional diff bracket attached to the bogie. 17) Quite sensible outlets on the bonnet, thanks to which it is virtually impossible to boil the water (100 degrees I haven't seen in a long time). 18) Battery on the right rear near the wheel arch. 19). GT WING spoiler, lightweight bonnet.
