KU IBIZA SUMMER SOUND 1985 KU IBIZA SUMMER SOUND 1985 Considerada por muchos como la primera gran discoteca de Eivissa y para otros tantos, la mejor discoteca del mundo en esa época (1978-1990), KU supuso una revolución, una explosión para la isla de Ibiza. Este es un maxi single recopilatorio de la musica que se oia en aquel año en la discoteca, con cuatro temas. La contraportada tiene algun punto negro por lo demas bien, ver fotos. Los lps no han sido probados por lo que no puedo asegurar su correcta audición Peso: 185 gramos

En caso de algún defecto improtante no visible, se indicará.   A continuación se definen de forma general los ESTADOS generales de los DISCOS según la ESCALA GOLDMINE: (NM) Near Mint El disco no muestra signos evidentes de desgaste.. Básicamente un disco casi nuevo. (VG +) Very Good Plus Muestra algunos signos de que ha reproducido pero por otra parte será evidente que un dueño anterior tuvo buen cuidado de él. La superficie del disco puede mostrar algunos signos de desgaste y puede tener rozaduras leves o rasguños ligeros que no afecten las experiencias propias de la escucha. Deformaciones leves que no afectan el sonido son aceptadas. Las etiquetas/galletas pueden tener cierto desgaste, anillo de desgaste o decoloración, pero debe ser apenas perceptible. El agujero central no se debe haber deformado por la repetida reproducción. (VG) Very Good Ruido de superficie será evidente al reproducir, sobre todo en los pasajes suaves y durante la intro y el desvanecimiento de una canción, pero no dominará a la música de otra manera. El desgaste del surco comenzará a ser notable, al igual que con los rasguños ligeros (lo suficientemente profundo para sentir con los dedos) que afectarán al sonido. Las etiquetas pueden estar desfiguradas por un escrito, o puede tener cintas o pegatinas (o sus residuos) adjuntas. (G +) Good Plus Un disco con buena o más que buena condición se puede poner en un tocadiscos y se reproducirá sin deslizamientos de la aguja. Pero este va a tener ruido evidente, rasguños de superficie visuales significativos y desgaste de surco visible.

Radio 6:45 A2 Rip Me Off 4:13 A3 It's Called The Rock 7:25 B1 I'd Rather Fight Than Switch 4:12 B2 Drown My Heart 3:34 B3 My Friend 3:56 B4 Patiently 4:34   Edwin Starr enjoyed a renaissance in the singles chart at the end of the 70's, moving from the soul that had made him famous to light disco, and scoring a major hit the previous year with “Contact”, a cold slab of electronic funk with the most insistent Moroder styled synth bass line, similar to Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love”. It was a worldwide smash and still appears on many disco hit compilation albums. The follow up, “Happy Radio” follows a similar vein, although there is less electronic rhythm and more horn fills; bearing similarities to the Earth Wind & Fire sound that was very popular at the time.  The single and title track is a nagging disco stomper, with a driving memorable bass line and chattering horn interruptions and would be a sure fire floor filler for a number of years. The rest of the album is pretty lightweight, following exactly the same pattern as the title track, except that the hooks aren’t as strong and songs like “I’d Rather Fight Than Switch”, and “It’s Called The Rock” sound about 5 years out of time. It’s interesting that barring the excellent title track the two traditional soul numbers are worth listening to (“Drown My Heart”, and “My Friend”), which probably come too late in the album for the listener,  who may have already turned off.

Fue lanzado al mercado el  29 de octubre  de  1984  por la discográfica  A&M Records. El álbum fue un gran éxito, vendiendo más de 5 millones de copias solamente en los Estados Unidos. El álbum alcanzó la primera posición en el  Billboard  200  y alcanzó los altos sitios en el  charts. El disco fue grabado en el Little Mountain Sound Studios,  Vancouver, Canadá.
