TERENCE TRENT D'ARBY / THIS SIDE OF LOVE / SINGLE 7 PULGADAS TERENCE TRENT D'ARBY / THIS SIDE OF LOVE / SINGLE 7 PULGADAS SE APRECIA CON POCO USO, PROMO, UNA SOLA CARA Aviso importante sobre el estado de los artículos en general: La mayoría de los discos llevan años almacenados y algunas carpetas y fundas pueden oler a viejo, a humedad o presentar señales de moho.  Los lps  suelen proceder de particulares.  Los maxi-singles  de 12 pulgadas casi todos proceden de discotecas. Las fundas de algunos discos suelen estar algo rotas o abiertas y algunos no traen la funda interior. Muchos discos presentan las típicas finas líneas de superficie y la funda suele estar gastada por los cantos y las esquinas o pueden tener pintadas o pegatinas.  Los singles pequeños de 7 pulgadas  suelen tener dobleces en las fundas y estar algo rotas por los cantos y bastante rozadas por los cantos y las esquinas, con pequeñas roturas en los bordes, también es normal que tengan pintadas y alguna pegatina y estén rozadas en superficie por lo que se nota la marca del disco. El disco suele presentar finas líneas de superficie y casi ninguno tiene funda interior. Muchas fundas pueden presentar suciedad del paso del tiempo. Otros singles están muy bien, pues proceden de emisoras de radio. Sobre todos los discos en general, si hay algún defecto considerable que supere las características señaladas ya se detalla en las características del lote.  La expresión 'señales de uso normal', indica que el disco puede estar sucio y presentar finas líneas de superficie y la funda estar gastada por cantos y esquinas y presentar dobleces, escritos y alguna pegatina, aunque la audición del vinilo es buena. Muchos discos están sucios porque llevan mucho  tiempo almacenados y deben ser lavados antes de au audición. Todos los discos se revisan antes de ponerlos a la venta y, además, antes de su envío al comprador. De todas formas, si encuentra algún defecto que no haya sido anunciado, por favor, comuníquenoslo, aceptamos devoluciones siempre que estén debidamente justificadas, aunque no abonamos los gastos de envío, sólo el importe del artículo.

En 1969, grabó "New Routes", un álbum grabado en los famosos estudios Muscle Shoals.Un disco curioso y raro de encontrar, en el se incluía una buenísima versión de " Mr. Bojangles ", de Jerry Jeff Walker. Grabado entre el 10 de septiembre y el 2 de octubre de 1969, fue una de las primeras grabaciones de aquellos míticos estudios. Y claro lo mejor y lo que mas me entusiasma del asunto es que en el disco Lulu contó con Duane Allman en las guitarras. Mi entusiasmo por encontrarme este disco es evidente, ya que adquiero todo lo que toque de cerca o de lejos a los Allman. El disco contaba con temas como la canción " Oh Me Oh My (I'm a Fool For You Baby) " que obtuvo cierto éxito. Una buena versión de " Feelin' Alright " de Dave Mason. "Dirty Old Man" de Delaney Bramlett, etc... Por lo que se puede apreciar a simple vista; muy buen gusto tenia esta majisima señorita. El disco también contó con Barry Edward Beckett en los teclados, un hombre que que trabajó como músico de sesión con los artistas mas grandes. James Luther "Jim" Dickinson al piano y las guitarras, un hombre que no necesita presentación,simplemente recordar que sus hijos, Luther y Cody han seguido sus pasos con éxito,tanto con North Mississippi All Stars, como como Hill Country Revue y The Black Crowes. Y que el piano en " Wild Horses" de los Stones es el! El gran Cornell Dupree tambien se ocupo de las guitarras, junto a Charlie Figueroa y Eddie Hinton este ultimo guitarra de Aretha Franklin, Solomon Burke, The Staple Singers y Elvis Presley entre muchos. Al bajo David Hood, otro con un curriculum que echa de espalda, y su hijo, Patterson Hood, es uno de Drive-By Truckers. Michael Utley con el organo, un hombre muy apegado a Rita Coolidge y Kris Kristofferson. Como se puede ver Lulu tuvo a la creme de la creme en su disco, y como productores tampoco se quedo corta: Jerry Wexler, Arif Mardin y Tom Dowd. Nada mas y nada menos! Como ven nuestra Lulu,se lo monto divinamente en este disco y un año más tarde, lanzo un álbum similar, "Melody Fair". Ambos se registraron en el sello Atco y son piezas muy buscadas Lulu siempre siguió en el negocio del espectáculo,consiguiendo éxitos nada desdeñables, aunque su estilo siempre ha derivado hacia un pop muy comercial, siempre quedaran estos discos que grabo en los Muscle Shoals. Tras la edición de este disco, el dúo se trasladó a Nueva York, donde se les añadieron David Yarritu y Eden (Fiona Russell-Powell) al grupo, sólo para los efectos visuales, sin tocar ningún instrumento ni cantar. A principios de 1985 se publicó el brillante y pegadizo single Be near me, que subió hasta el puesto 26 de las listas británicas. Debido al éxito del single, How to be a...millionaire! consiguió entrar en el Top 30 tanto en Reino Unido como en Estados Unidos. Be near me se publicó a finales de 1985 en Estados Unidos, convirtiéndose en el primer Top 10 del grupo en este país. A pesar de los éxitos regulares del grupo durante 1985, los siguientes singles, Vanity kills y Ocean blue, se estancaron en los charts. The album peaked on the UK Albums Chart at 28 and on the Billboard 200 at 30. On the cover the album's title is in the foreground lit up like a spotlight against a tri-tone background on which various quotes of the album's lyrics can be seen. There is also a drop shadow behind the title. No dialogue at the start of the song " Vanity Kills ". Eden (see band line up in next section) does the harmony vocal on the song " Ocean Blue ". Guitars completely absent from Side Two/Tracks 6–10. No cursing from Eden in the song "A to Z". Four seconds of silence between "A to Z" and "(How to Be a) Millionaire". Eden performs the breakdown vocal and plays the instrumental solo in the song "(How to Be a) Millionaire".
