Actualmente es una máquina bastante cotizada por haberse convertido en un clásico de la industria del diseño. Podemos ver un ejemplar de Olivetti Valentine en el museo MOMA de Nueva York. Posiblemente recibe influencias de la cultura Pop americana de los años 60. Esta máquina de escribir supuso un cambio revolucionario en aquel momento, tanto por su color rojo vivo, como por ligereza, su manejabilidad y como por su diseño, el cual simula al rostro de un robot. Podemos ver las antenas (las dos varillas que salen del carro para sujetar la hoja de papel), los ojos (los carretes de cinta naranjas) y la boca (parte inferior del teclado). Presenta un teclado formado por cuatro hileras y doble tecla shift. La máquina se encuentra en muy buen estado de conservación y funciona correctamente. La única pega es que tiene partido y vuelto a pegar el carrete de cinta del lado izquierdo. No afecta a su funcionabilidad. No se sabe si funciona todo bien, al no saber utilizarla. Se ha enchufado y hace ruido, las teclas han llegado a moverse, pero lógicamente habría que cambiarle la tinta. Una de las bisagras del maletín está rota, pero no impide que se pueda transportar bien. La Olivetti Lettera 36 fue la primera máquina de escribir portátil eléctrica de Olivetti, fundada en 1970.  Fue diseñada por el arquitecto y diseñador Ettore Sottsass (padre del famoso Olivetti Valentine), en colaboración con Hans Von Klier. La parte mecánica deriva de la Lettera 32, diseñada por Marcello Nizzoli. Se trataba de una máquina de escribir portátil, pero los mecanismos del motor eléctrico provocaron un aumento de peso considerable, llegando a superar los 7kg, (10kg en este caso). Esta es la segunda versión de la Olivetti Lettera 36, con teclas cuadradas, consideradas más funcionales. La primera versión, fue con teclas circulares. La escritura se lleva a cabo con los clásicos martillos portadores de caracteres. Esta es la versión QWERTY.
