Expressionism is another Art Style that I love to paint in. So combining Abstraction and Expressionism is simply the next logical step for me that I sometimes employ to allow these two styles to shine together, as well as amplify each other in the same work. As an artist I understand very well that art is a personal choice. However as a new artist to Etsy and one who is used to working with Limited Edition Giclee Prints, I ‘m frankly shocked to see that there are a number of shops labelling canvas prints as hand painted work. Why the attempt to mislead ?. Giclee prints when done correctly can be a very pleasing and worthwhile purchase. Giclees allow art to be more affordable. Even Museums, and many very successful and well known artists use Giclee prints. The biggest drawback to prints is the inability to have real texture on the printed surface. However this can be partially mitigated with some types of printing that offer hand applied varnish (sealant) to the print, or the artis can hand finish the printed surface. The difference is in the quality of the materials used, the experience and professionalism of the printers, and especially whether or not those printers are used to printing high end art work. I suspect that the buyers expectations are also very much a part of how art is listed. Quality archival professional materials for creating paintings and other art, are usually quite costly. It is therefore unrealistic to expect that art being offered at rock bottom prices, were created with the best materials and that such art was created meticulously by hand. This painting here is offered as Giclee prints on various supports eg canvas polished acrylic sheets, paper and metals. You can also order a hand painted copy NB: as should be expected with any hand made work, the new painting cannot be a 100% exact copy. You have the option of choosing the size you want and colors. Description: - Plumb bob, both construction and instrumental, from the first half of the 20th century, with its original nut. - The bronze weight has the shape of a cylinder and a cone, with the tip made of iron. - Very curious and rare. The lower part can be unscrewed to invert its position, leaving the conical part visible. Once used, it is unscrewed again with the apex of the cone towards the inside of the cylinder, for its protection. - The thread is small in size and diameter, with a small thread and pitch. - The nut is very curious, square and flat, being original to the plumb bob. - We have found an inscription on the nut: twice the number 6, and on the lower part of the same nut, the number 7. - Apart from the inscription on the nut, we have not found any distinctive mark or contrast, which could provide information about the place where it was made, the manufacturer's details, as well as other data. - The plumb bob was probably made in southern Europe. Preservation and damage: - The plumb bob is in a good state of preservation, although the weight has several knocks and scratches, both on the edges and edges, as well as on the faces. - A very good and beautiful patina has been preserved on the entire plumb bob. - The quality of the bronze casting and the execution of the plumb bob is very good. - The Plumb bob shows wear typical of it's age. Comments: - Both the measurements and the weight are approximate. - Very interesting as a collector's item and as a decorative element. - The tones of the colours in the photos are not equal to the tones of the real colours. - The object for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos. ENGLISH Title/Object: Virgen del Carmen and Sacred Heart Medal. Period: Second half of the 20th century. Author: Unknown Material: Mixed white metal. Condition: Very good. Measurements: Height: 3,2 cm.                            Diameter: 2,8 cm. Weight: 6 gr. Description: - Circular stamped medal, with flat handle and ring. Probably from the second half of the 20th century, although it could be earlier. - Obverse: Virgin of Mount Carmel. - Reverse: Sacred Heart of Jesus. - Edge: Plain with no inscription. - The high relief of the Medal has a great quality. - We have not found any Contrast or Distinctive on the Medal, which would provide us with information about the identity of its authors. Conservation and damage: - The Medal is in a very good state of preservation. - Both the obverse and reverse show minimal wear. - The edges of the edge have a few dents. - The obverse shows more wear than the reverse. - The Object shows wear typical of it's age. Comments: - Both the Measurements, as well as the Weight, are approximate. - Very interesting as a collector's item and as a decorative element. - The tones of the colours in the photos do not match the tones of the real colours. - The object for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos. Descripción: - Bonito racimo de uvas de jade de color marrón blanquecino, y con hojas de jade de color verde oscuro. - El racimo está compuesto por 20 uvas de jade de color marrón blanquecino, y 5 hojas de jade verde oscuro, con el extremo en forma de tallo. - Las uvas tienen diferentes tonalidades, algunas de ellas más bien blancas y otras marrón-rojizas.  - No se ha localizado ningún distintivo, marca o contraste, que pueda facilitar datos del sitio en que se fabricó, datos del fabricante, así como otros datos. Description: - Beautiful bunch of whitish-brown jade grapes with dark green jade leaves. - The bunch is composed of 20 whitish brown jade grapes, and 5 dark green jade leaves, with the end in the form of a stem. - The grapes have different shades, some of them rather white and others reddish-brown.  - No distinctive mark or contrast has been found that could provide information on where it was made, the maker's details, or any other information.
