"Toby" is a member of the Urban Cyber-kids Against Fascists: Freedom Fighters (UCAFFF#), a loose collective of cybernetically-enhanced proletarian street kids who battle robotic riot police in a life of street warfare against the corporo-fascist powers that rule over all in this plane. The urban post-capitalist landscape is an endless city in ruins, where the members of the UCAFFF# have banded together out of necessity, their childhoods lost to an endless series of interactions with the aggressively oppressive robo riot police squads. The ingenuity of the UCAFFF# crew is key to their survival as they persist and resist while keeping out of sight from the fascist forces of the Robo Riot Police. They wear street clothes which serve as a utilitarian camouflage, blending in with the rubbish and debris filled landscape. They also each wear a personalized helmet and DIU (data interface unit) augmented with electronic, robotic and computational cybernetic devices such as night vision, wireless voice communication, heads-up displays and stylized to look like an animal, monster or other creature. The fight against fascism is a never-ending battle from gutters and lost streets where these cyber-kids dwell. The Robot Monster universe is filled with a series of co-existing planes of reality. Each plane contains a host of eclectic inhabitants. Creatures of all varieties dwell within these worlds. From the freaky to the fanciful, each individual beast has a human-ness that reaches out to the viewer. Beware the onlooker! This listing is for 1 of only 50 prints that will be created of this work.
